MILK AND HONEY

Milk and honey tastes GOOD and is IRRESISTIBLE. This is also true of the Milk and Honey Choir of the WORD OF LIFE BIBLE CHURCH, Warri, Nigeria . The Choir was born on November 15, 1987, when Word Of Life Bible Church (WLBC), Warri – Nigeria was born and Christened MILK AND HONEY from the book of Numbers 13:27 by the presiding Pastor, Ayo Oritsejafor through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.

The Choir, which began with 60 members in 1987, now has 500 with a target of 1000 voices. It is divided into 12 Groups with each Group having a leader for effective control and fellowship. Within the Choir are: A Prayer band, Praise /Worship Team, Men-Alive Choir, Daughter Of Sarah Choir, Action Youth For Christ Choir, Eagle Singers, Junior Milk and Honey Choir, MHC Dancers and the Melody Gospel Voices, which has become a forum for harnessing and developing budding talents.

To be eligible for membership, you must be born again , a bonafide member of Word of Life Bible Church, Above 20 years of age, belong to a home cell, must have passed through the Ministries In Training Class (MIT) and must have gone through Deliverance school. Strict Discipline is adhered to, and lateness/absenteeism is seriously discouraged with penalties attached. Days of rehearsals are Mondays and Thursdays (17:30 hrs) and Saturdays (14:00 hrs) for 2 hours each day.

Seasoned full time professional Musicians like Ufoma Ojoh (keyboard), Enoch Emamezi (Bass), Daniel Patani (drums) Philip Clem (Keyboard), and others.

The Choir has given birth to several icons such as DC Envoys (Nigeria), the GLAD Tidings (Nigeria), Jude Bakare and Others. The Milk and Honey Choir style of singing and choreography has placed her in a class of her own in Nigeria. They have also ministered in crusades across the Federal Republic of Nigeria even through to America and Europe. The Milk and Honey Choir have sang with Great Singers like Lionel Peterson (South Africa) ; Panam Percy Paul (Nigeria); Helen Baylor (USA), Ron Kenoly (USA), Genet Chenier (USA), Limit X (USA) and others. The Choir also minister on The Hour of Deliverance Radio and TV Programme of Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor every day on radio and Weekly on TV. The Music Director, Mrs.Linda Etukudo has also come out with her debut album " Holy Ghost Koboko".

The Milk and Honey Choir is what it is today by the special Grace of God, prayers and dedication on the part of the members as well as the ever supportive Papa and Mama Ayo Oritsejafor. The Music Director, Mrs.Linda Etukudo, Mr.Austine Anazie, and Mr. Ufoma Ojoh

MEN ALIVE CHOIR
The Men – Alive Choir is made up of Married Men form the Milk and Honey Choir and from the mother church, word of life Bible Church, Nigeria. Although there are Single men whose ages ranges from mid – twenties and above. This Group meets twice a month for rehearsals and ministers mostly on the Men Alive International Convention. They have ministered with top Nigerian Gospel Artistes like: Panam Percy Paul, Minister Faith Ajeboye, Evangelist Obey and the great South African Singer Lionel Peterson and Jesse Dixon for California USA. The Men Alive Choir was born on august 1998, when the Men Alive Fellowship of Word of Life Bible Church, Nigeria held her first International Convention. Membership is increasing every convention period with supportive effort from Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor the EXCO of the group and the Milk and Honey Choir in general.

DAUGHTERS OF SARAH CHOIR
As it is in the men Alive Choir, the Daughters of Sarah Choir is also a sub Group in the Milk and Honey Choir. This Group is for married women together with the single ladies at the age of thirty. Memberships mandatory for all members of Milk and Honey choir (Female) and married women of Word of Life Bible church only.

The DOS Choir was bon on March 1998 when the first Daughters of Sarah International Convention of Word of Life Bible Church, was held in Nigeria. Rehearsals are held twice a month and her membership status is growing rapidly.

The Daughters of Sarah Choir has ministered along side with international Artistes from Africa and Europe, such as: Helen Baylor (USA), Genet Chenier (USA), Debbi Urbano (USA), Asuu Ekiye (Nigeria),Ann Iyang (Nigeria), Onyeka Owenu (Nigeria), and a host of others.

The Daughters of Sarah Fellowship Choir’s success by the Grace of God comes from fervent prayers and dedication on the part of the members and that of Mama Helen Oritsejafor the President of the Daughters of Sarah Fellowship of Word of Life Bible Church, Warri , Nigeria. The D.O.S Choir EXCO is been piloted by Mrs. Linda Etukudo with the assistance of Mrs. Adline Atonuje and much support from the Milk and Honey Choir.

ACTION YOUTH FOR CHRIST CHOIR
The A.Y.C is a body under the Milk and Honey Choir of Word of Life Bible Church, Warri, Nigeria. Members are the Youth in Milk and Honey Choir and from the mother Church. The Action Youths. Talented Young generations are featured in this Group, and her membership status is no doubt 50% of the entire Milk and Honey Choir.

This Sub-Group was born in September 1998, when the Action Youth For Christ Fellowship of Word Of Life Bible Church, Nigeria, held her first Youth International Convention. The A.Y.C is always busy with invitations to minister outside the mother Church. They have ministered along side with LIMIT X, Minister Rexa and many others.

With Collective effort and prayers of the EXCO, the ever supportive Papa & Mama Ayo Oritsejafor together with the Mother Choir (Milk and Honey) the A.Y.C keeps soaring high. Her EXCO is piloted by Mr. Opone Ochuko, with assistance from Ms. Winifred.

EAGLE SINGERS
This Sub-Group was born on January 15th 2001. It was more or less called Papa’s Praise Team but later Christened Eagle Singers by the Presiding Pastor of Word Of Life Bible Church, Warri, Nigeria PASTOR AYO ORITSEJAFOR. So far the Eagle Singers has done marvelously since her birth. Lives have been blessed through their ministrations in and outside the Church. It is a group with a Mandate to Minister along side Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor in and outside Word of Life Bible Church. They’ve been to different cities, to minister especially the South Zone of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Currently, the Group comprises of about thirty dedicated members from the Milk and Honey Choir only. They have also been a blessing to souls through Mama Helen Oritsejafor's ministrations in and outside Word Of Life Bible Church. By the Special Grace of God, the Group is piloted by Mrs. Linda Etukudo with assistance from Mrs. Blessing Akporiaye. Due to the largeness of Milk and Honey Choir, sometimes this group is sent out to represent the MILK AND HONEY CHOIR on certain invitations to be a blessing to men, women, boys and girls.

MILK AND HONEY DANCERS
The milk and Honey Dancers is a Dancing Group from the Milk and Honey Choir. The MH Dancers have been a blessing to souls through Dancing Choreography kind of ministration in and outside Word Of Life Bible Church, Warri Nigeria. Currently there are thirty members of Word Of Life Bible Church in this Group with the largest percentage from the Milk and Honey Choir. Sometimes, they minister along side Milk and Honey Choir on Sunday Mornings with their kind of Dancing Choreography.

Today, by the Grace of God they are going places through dedication from members and support from Milk and Honey Choir as well from Papa & Mama Ayo Oritsejafor
